Li Wan Po & Co. Ltd is a fourth-generation family-owned business with over 100 years of experience providing quality consumer goods in Mauritius.
The business was founded by self-employed entrepreneur Emmanuel Li Wan Po at the turn of the last century. With a growing business, the company was incorporated in 1948 under the name of Li Wan Po & Cie Ltée.
With hard work and perseverance, Li Wan Po & Co. Ltd is featured among the Top 100 businesses in Mauritius.
Our Heritage
1901 — Emmanuel Li Wan Po arrives in Mauritius and begins his apprenticeship.
1918 — Opens a shop at Queen Street, Port Louis.
1948 — Company incorporated as Li Wan Po & Cie Ltée.
1972 — Leadership passes to his son Raoul; values of discipline and humility endure.
2018 — Centennial celebrated.
